Final Project

I haven't had a chance to do this yet with a class, but www.timetoast.com is a website where one can do a timeline. I would have my students enter significant (or not so) events of their lives using past tense verbs. We can also include pictures. I could then take those past time verbs and make a wordle.

This class has really opened my eyes to the possibilities! I hope that we all keep blogging and sharing!

Rita just showed us how to use wordle. What fun!!!! I would like to do one of all my students' names and show it to them.

I just signed up for delicious. It is wonderful!!! It took me some time and trial to set things up, but when I did, it worked great!!!! I am so excited to have some websites that I can use with my students organized with comments and in one place!!!

Oct. 8 Blog

As Rita is explaining twitter, I am still having "twitter anxiety." I see the benefit for Rita, but not so much for me. My thoughts right now are to just grab Rita's coattail and get updates from her.

Day 2 continued

OK, I figured out that if you click on the article, it gets BIGGER. So, my friends, read it and enjoy. Then click on the back arrow to get back to the blog. Good luck

Day 2 (obviously not consecutive)

This second attempt at blogging has been somewhat frustrating. I have been trying to attach (include) an article I scanned from today's newspaper. I've been at this for about 40 minutes. In the mean time, I did manage to attach a picture of myself someplace in this blog. So, here I go again to try to include the article:

OK, it worked! Now I just have to make it bigger so everyone can read it. Here goes:
30 minutes later, I've got nothing. I was able to make the print bigger on the desktop where I saved it, but not able to get the print bigger for your reading pleasure. Help!

So, now it's late and I'm tired and crabby! But I will not give up. Maybe tomorrow.
